So I came to Xanga since I recently discovered that the photographer who shot my wedding, Dan Wagner, has a blog he updates regularly on here. In other news, much as happened since I last posted when getting my official LLC status back in April. I photographed a ton of weddings this summer, somehow that magically took off and I was really busy! I upgrade the vast majority of my equipment as a result... so these days I've got a 5D Mark II and a 40D for my main bodies, and during my upgrading of lenses process I've really started to love fast primes, they're a real treat to work with that I've only gotten to start using them recently.

In other non photography news, Joel got a new job last month working at a Pet Clinic as a veterinary assistant, so now he gets to work with animals all the time.

We're both stil doing martial arts at Tiger Martial Arts, Joel's up to orange belt in Small Circle Jujitsu and Tae Kwon Do. I'm the same rank as him in Small Circle Jujitsu, and in the Tae Kwon Do class I'm getting closer and closer to confirming my black belt in her style. Until then I keep wearing my black belt from World Karate Academy during that class. I recently did school portraits for all the kids and some of the adults over there right before the holiday time, and that was a lot of fun and a great experience in a slightly different style of photography (my first time having to mass edit out backgrounds and put in funky cool backgrounds in their place).

At my job at VU we recently finished putting networking equipment (switches, UPS, wireless access points) and what not in the new Harre Union that will be opening up next month.

As for family updates, I've been back to New York both in August for my birthday and this past month for Thanksgiving... this month Joel and I will go to Illinois to see his family for Christmas.

As you may be able to tell from reading this with my sparse posts (since I'm a livejournal gal) I went to Japan at the beginning of March for 10 days.
